Women's Golf Closes Out Season at Atlantic Sun Championships

DELAND, Fla. - Senior Pamela Shelley (Alachua, Fla.) fired a 239 (81-76-82) to tie for 18th as the Dolphins shot a 1049 (356-344-349) to finish 11th at the Atlantic Sun Championship. Georgia State swept the awards, taking the team title by six strokes over Campbell by tallying a score of 917 (306-303-308) on the par-72, 5,942-yard course at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla. The Lady Panthers' Lisbeth Meincke won medalist honors, carding a 221 (71-74-76) during the three-day event.

Freshman Heather Fudge (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) ranked second for the Dolphins, carding a 263 (87-89-87) to come in 49th, while senior Melissa Holland (Jacksonville, Fla./First Coast) tied for 51st by shooting a 266 (88-90-88). Freshman Jennifer Sills (Cedar Park, Texas) finished 54th with her score of 288 (107-89-92), with junior Kristen Yeomans (Coral Springs, Fla.) shooting a 303 (100-105-98) to rank 55th.
