Senior forward Marit Foss (Hamresanden, Norway) handed out a pair of assists and senior forward Stine Kloster (Stavanger, Norway) scored the gamewinner as Jacksonville defeated Florida International, 3-2, to sweep the UCF/Kappa Invitational Sunday afternoon in women's soccer.

Foss earned offensive MVP honors after tallying eight assists on the weekend, including an NCAA record-tying six in JU's 10-0 win over Alabama A&M on Friday.

Foss, Kloster, freshman defender Hanni Wenzell (Camino, Wash.), junior midfielder Trine Riis Groven (Skien, Norway) and junior defender Kathy Ciriello (Prospect, Conn.) earned all-tournament honors for the Dolphins, who improve to 3-1 on the season.

Kloster scored the eventual game-winner at the 54th minute of the match on a breakaway pass from Foss.

FIU struck first in the 20th minute when Michele O'Brien scored off of a long downfield pass from Maargery Kraus. JU tied the score on junior defender Yvonna Rowinski's (Los Angeles, Calif.) header off of Foss's corner kick at the 42:45 mark and then senior midfielder Dianne Scott (Houston, Texas) added JU's third goal at 75:35 in the match.

The Dolphins return home on Friday, Sept. 8, as they host Florida Atlantic, Howard and South Alabama in the JU Nike Legends Classic. South Alabama takes on Florida Atlantic at 2 p.m. and JU will face Howard at 4 p.m.
