Senior forward Stine Kloster (Stavanger, Norway) scored two goals and junior forward Trine Riis Groven (Skien, Norway) had a pair of assists as the Jacksonville University women's soccer team defeated Belmont 3-0 in the Holiday Inn Invitational hosted by Stony Brook Saturday afternoon.

The win marked the Dolphin's fifth consecutive win, which ties a school record, as they improved their record to 6-1 on the season. Belmont dropped to 2-6.

Riis Groven opened the scoring in the 17th minute, scoring on a penalty kick after Belmont goalkeeper Mikell Lucus fouled a Dolphin in the box. Both of Kloster's goals came off of crosses from Riis Groven.

Sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Cancio (Hialeah, Fla.) recorded two saves in her first shutout of the 2000 season, giving her five total for her career.

The Dolphins continue tournament play when they face Buffalo, who defeated Stony Brook 2-0, Sunday, Sept. 17, in the championship game of the Holiday Inn Invitational at 11 a.m. Last season, Buffalo finished 13-5-1 and appeared in the NCAA Tournament.
