Ranveig Aas-Hanssen Earns A-Sun Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University freshman forward Ranveig Aas-Hanssen was named Atlantic Sun women's soccer offensive player of the week, announced by the conference office Monday. The Skien, Norway, native led the Dolphins to three victories this past week, including the Dolphins' first two conference victories this season over Lipscomb, 6-0, and Belmont, 5-0. Aas-Hanssen scored three goals and added an assist in the Dolphins' (7-1-0) three victories, extending their winning streak to seven games.

Aas-Hanssen scored her fourth goal of the season in JU's 3-1 victory over Gardner-Webb in their conference opener, while scoring her fifth goal in a 6-0 win over Lipscomb. Aas-Hanssen capped off the week scoring a goal and adding an assist in the Dolphins second conference game of the week in a 5-0 win over Belmont. Aas-Hanssen has scored at least one goal in the Dolphins' last five contests.

The Dolphins host Troy St. on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Ashley Sports Complex on JU's campus at 4 p.m.
