JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU junior Erin Bitterli (St. Petersburg, Fla.) scored in the 116th minute amidst a steady downpour as the Dolphins defeated Campbell in overtime, 2-1, in Atlantic Sun action Thursday afternoon at the Ashley Sports Complex. It was the second-straight overtime game for the Dolphins, who have won six consecutive A-Sun matches and remain undefeated at home this season.

In the second overtime, Bitterli took a feed from freshman Ranveig Aas-Hanssen (Skien, Norway) and placed the ball inside the far post past the out-stretched arms of Campbell keeper Erin Switalski, who made 12 saves for the Fighting Camels, for the Dolphins 11th victory in their last 12 games.

Campbell took the lead in the first half as freshman Susan Persson scored in the 33rd minute giving the Fighting Camels a 1-0 halftime lead. Senior forward Vanessa Illanes (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) tied the game for the Dolphins in the 56th minute, blasting a shot from 30 yards out into the net off a feed from Kristen Holstrom (Anaheim, Calif.). JU keeper Stephanie Fowler (Seffner, Fla.) made five saves for the Dolphins, who outshot the Fighting Camels, 22-10.

The Dolphins return to action on Saturday as they host the Georgia State Lady Panthers at the Ashley Sports Complex at 2 p.m.
