Women's basketball heads north to face Buffalo on Tuesday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -
After ending the 2007 calender year with a 14-0 record at home, the JU women's basketball team will close out 2007 with season with three road games.
The Dolphins (7-3), who have the fifth longest active home winning streak in the nation (15), will begin their three-game trek against Buffalo (6-3) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Alumni Arena.
JU and Buffalo will be facing each other for the first time on Tuesday. The Dolphins are 0-1 all- time against the Mid Atlantic Conference after dropping a 66-54 contest to Central Michigan on Dec. 19, 2005.

JU ranks among nation's best at home
JU is currently in the midst of a 15-game home winning streak which continued with an 56-48 win over Coastal Carolina on Dec. 8 at Swisher Gymnasium. Included in the winning streak is a 3-0 record at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. JU also finished the 2007 calander year undefeated at home (14-0).
JU's last loss was a 73-69 decision against Niagara at Swisher Gymnasium on Dec. 18, 2006. Since the beginning of the 2006-07 campaign, the Dolphins are 16-1 at home.
The Dolphins' 15-game streak has earned them a spot on the national home winning streak list as JU currently ranks fifth. The longest home streak is owned by James Madison (30) and is followed by Marist (25), Texas A&M (22) and Duke (18).
JU among best in A-Sun
JU leads the conference in scoring margin (+7.8 - which is the only program to have a positive margin), field goal percentage (.409), 3-point field goal percentage defense (.237), assists (15.1), turnover margin (+5.6), assist/turnover ratio (0.86), 3-point field goals made (5.8).
The Dolphins also rank second in scoring (68.1), scoring defense (60.3), rebounding defense (36.8) and steals (12.1) and is third in 3-point field goal percentage (.319) and blocks (3.4).
