JU senior goalkeeper Sarah Scalese (Brewster, Mass.) matched her career high with 10 saves, which ranks fourth all-time for the Dolphins in a single match. Scalese also collected 10 saves in a 3-1 home loss to Florida State on Sept. 7.

Lindsey Yach gave Miami (5-4) a 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute when she received a pass from Anik Huffman and scored.

Miami made it 2-0 in the 69th minute when Brittany Velisek scored inside the box off a pass from Andrea Radice. The Hurricanes would add another goal in the 83rd minute when Julie Brooks took a cross from Vonda Matthews and found the back of the net to increase the lead to three. JU responded in the 86th minute as freshman Ashley Reilly (Orlando, Fla.) served a free kick to Aas-Hanssen, who headed it into the goal to put the Dolphins in the scoring column.

The Dolphins return to action when they host Belmont in their A-Sun opener at the Ashley Sports Complex on Thurs., Sept. 25 at 4:00 p.m.
