Oct. 19, 2005

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - A day after earning the Atlantic Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week, sophomore Keri Zwikker was named to the Soccer Buzz "Elite Team of the Week" announced by soccerbuzz.com today. This is the Dolphins first ever selection on the Soccer Buzz team.

Zwikker earned the honor after racking up nine goals, two assists and 20 points in three games last week.

"I am very excited for Keri [Zwikker] to earn this award," said head coach Chris Kouns. "This a team award because the team helped Keri get better and she helped the school by winning this recognition."

On Sunday, Zwikker set a Dolphins new single game record by scoring five goals against Lipscomb in an 8-0 victory. The five goals scored were the most by a player in the Atlantic Sun this season and is tied for the best total in the NCAA this year. She scored the game winning goal to help the Dolphins defeat Belmont, 1-0, on Friday night at the Ashley Sports Complex.

Zwikker opened the week by scoring three goals and record two assists to help the Dolphins down Embry-Riddle, 7-0, last Tuesday. She now leads the team and Atlantic Sun with 13 goals scored.

The Dolphins travel to Buies Creek, N.C., on Thursday to take on Campbell at 7 p.m. in A-Sun action.
