BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The Jacksonville women's soccer team lost for the first time in three games as they fell to Campbell, 1-0, Thursday night in Atlantic Sun action at Buies Creek, N.C.

Campbell's Susan Persson scored on a counter to break the scoreless tie with less than five minutes remaining in the game to give the Camels (7-7-0, 5-3-0 A-Sun) the win.

Junior goalie Michelle Kmiotek recorded eight saves, while sophomore Louisa Ward has two shots to lead the Dolphins (6-7-3, 3-3-1).

"Campbell out played us in every facet of the game tonight," said head coach Chris Kouns. "I am extremely disappointed that we took the games against Embry-Riddle, Belmont and Lipscomb too lightly. We are making the same simple mistakes that we should have corrected last week."

The Dolphins return to action on Saturday at 2 p.m. in a key A-Sun match up against Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, N.C.
