Keri Zwikker earns Soccer Buzz South Region All-Freshman team selection

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - Freshman Keri Zwikker was named to the Soccer Buzz South Region All-Freshman team after leading the Jacksonville women's soccer team with a 14 goals and 38 points.

"I'm very excited to see her Keri's accomplishments on the field being awarded," said JU head coach Chris Kouns. "She was a huge part this season in our turnaround on the field and overall improvement of our record."

Zwikker, also the Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Year, led the A-Sun in goals, goal per game (0.74) and points. She ranked second on the team and conference with 10 assists. Zwikker also picked up first team all-conference and all-freshman accolades for her successful season.

During that week, Zwikker torched the competition by recording nine goals, two assists and 20 points to lead the Dolphins to three straight victories. She scored five goals against Lipscomb to set a new school-record. Zwikker earned A-Sun "Offensive player of the Week," Soccer Buzz "Elite Team of the Week" and Player of the Week honors for her stellar week.

"At the end of the season, the team elected Keri as the team captain for next season," Kouns said. "This award is a reflection of her as a person and player."
