JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - Freshman Michelle Lavine was named to the Jewish Sports Review All-America team after leading the Jacksonville women's soccer team with 17 assists.
"I am proud of Michelle making the All-America team," said JU head coach Chris Kouns. "This award is a great recognition for her and our program."
Lavine led the Atlantic Sun and ranked fifth nationally in assists per game. She was second on the team with four goals and 25 points. Lavine earned second team all-conference and all-freshman team accolades for her stellar season.
Earlier this season, she recorded two goals, nine assists and 13 points in three games to help led the Dolphins to three consecutive victories. Lavine also tied a national single-game best with five assists against Lipscomb.
"She is a great role model for our program because she does well in the classroom and on the field," said Kouns. "We are really happy to have Michelle in our program."
