JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Angela Hulse scored a goal less than 18 seconds into the second overtime to help the Jacksonville University women's soccer team defeat LaSalle (Pa.), 1-0, on Friday night at Patton Park in Jacksonville, Fla.

"First of all, we give credit to Paul and his team because they gave us a great game," said JU head coach Chris Kouns. "They pushed us to play more physical and quicker. We need to play more opponents like his team so we can improve."

In the second overtime, sophomore Keri Zwikker hit a shot from 10-yards out that bounced off the top crossbar and Hulse knocked in the deflection past the outstretched goalie to give the Dolphins (2-1) the game-winning goal.

The Explorers (1-2) outshot the Dolphins 17-11, but senior goalie Michelle Kmiotek kept them from scoring with nine saves for her second consecutive shut out.

"Our girls played really well tonight for 30-minute spurt," Kouns said. "With our young team, we have to get them mentally ready to play all 90-minutes. Overall, we have two shut outs wins, while playing #18 Georgia tough and there is nothing wrong with that to start the season."

The Dolphins finish the week on Sunday in DeLand, Fla. for non-conference match against Navy at 5 p.m.
