Women's Tennis Continues Play At ITA Southern Regional

ATHENS, Ga. - Freshman Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary) and sophomore Veronika Subertova (Bratislava, Slovakia) teamed up to reach the second round of Flight A doubles as the Dolphins continued play at the ITA Southern Regional Saturday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
In Flight A singles, Sulyos fell in the second round to Jennifer Magley of Florida, 6-2, 6-4, while Subertova fell in the consolation round to Luisa Lopez of Troy State, 6-2, 6-3. In Flight B, junior Nisrine Hajbane (Casablanca, Morocco) dropped her third round match to Audrey Banada of Miami, 6-1, 6-1. Senior Kim Packer (Adelaide, Australia) also played in Flight B and fell to Nikhila Narra of Southern Miss, 6-1, 6-2.
Sophomore Martina Strussova (Bratislava, Slovakia) lost by default in the first round of Flight B consolation play to Grace Kammerer of Southern Miss, while senior Kristina Puck (Hamburg, Germany) advanced to the second round with a bye.
In Flight A doubles, Sulyos and Subertova defeated Narra and Slater of Southern Miss, 8-6, before falling to Duch and Andrade of USF, 8-4, in the second round. Packer and Hajbane fell in the first round in Flight B, dropping an 8-5 decision to Dellarcipreta and von Samson of UAB. Strussova and Puck also dropped their first round match, falling to Muller and Nikolic of Alabama by default.
The Dolphins return to action on Sunday at the ITA Southern Regional.
