Women's Tennis Ends Play At Lady Seminole Classic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Freshman Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary) reached the semifinal round of Flight A singles as the Dolphins finished play at the Lady Seminole Classic at Florida State's Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
Sulyos defeated Marie France Lord-Andrade of USF, 6-3, 7-6(3) before falling to Anca Dumitrescu of Florida State, 6-0, 6-4, in the semifinal round of Flight A singles. Junior Nisrine Hajbane (Casablanca, Morocco) fell in the third round of Flight A consolation to Annabelle Stefanchuk of UCF, 6-3, 6-1. Hajbane then played in the Flight B consolation back draw and lost to Lindsay Risebrough of Minnesota, 6-2, 6-1.
In Flight B singles consolation, senior Kim Packer (Adelaide, Australia) fell to Talia Romero of USF, 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-1. Senior Kristina Puck (Hamburg, Germany) played in Flight B second round consolation and dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision to Ola Luczak of UCF.
In Flight A doubles, Sulyos and Puck dropped their third round match to Duch and Andrade of USF, 8-4.
The Dolphins conclude their fall season and begin play in the spring at USF on Jan. 23 at 1 p.m.
