Women's Tennis Upsets UCF Golden Knights, 5-2

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -The JU women's tennis team rallied for their third win of the season, defeating nationally ranked No. 74 UCF, 5-2, Friday afternoon at the Alexander Brest Tennis Complex.

Freshman Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary) won No. 1 singles after losing the first set, while sophomore Veronika Subertova (Bratislava, Slovakia), and junior Nisrine Hajbane (Casablanca, Morocco) each won their singles matches. Senior Kristina Puck (Hamburg, Germany) injured her right knee in the third set, but pushed through winning her singles match as well.

The Dolphins remain undefeated at 3-0 after posting three wins in the last week. JU upset Wofford, 4-3, Sunday Jan. 25.

JU takes on Broward Community College on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 3:00 p.m. in Boca Raton, Fla.
