Women's Tennis defeats Georgia Southern, 6-1

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU women's tennis team won 5-of-6 singles matches and captured the double point to earn its eleventh win of the season defeating Georgia Southern, 6-1, Thursday afternoon at the GSU Hanner Courts.
JU (11-0) freshman Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary ) won at No. 1 singles in two sets defeating Ciara Finucane, 6-3, 6-0, while sophomore Veronika Subertova (Bratislava, Slovakia) defeated Charlotte Bruneteaux in No. 2 sinlges, 6-2, 6-1, and sophomore Martina Strussova (Bratislava, Slovakia) won at No. 4 sinlges over Krystel Sauvageau, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6. Also winning matches were junior Nisrine Hajbane (Casablanca, Morocco) at No. 5 singles, defeating Amy Pazahanick, 6-2, 6-2, and senior Kristina Puck (Hamburg, Germany) at No. 6 singles over Kimberly Wollett, 6-2, 6-3.
Sulyos and Subertova combined to defeat Finucane and Pazahanick at No. 1 doubles, 8-4, while Packer and Hajbane took No. 3 doubles defeating Bruneteaux and Reynolds, 8-5.
