Emese Sulyos Named A-Sun Player of the Week in Women's Tennis

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU's Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary) has been named Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week after going 8-0 in singles and doubles play last week as the Dolphins remained undefeated with a perfect 9-0 record after defeating Savannah State, Georgia Southern, Gardner-Webb and American University. It's the second consecutive honor for Sulyos, who is 13-0 at No. 1 singles play this year.

Sulyos defeated Savannah State's Neikelle Lashlet, 6-1, 6-0 and then beat Georgia Southern's Clara Finvcane , 6-3, 6-0, Gardner-Webb's Melissa DeJong, 6-0, 6-0 and American's Kristina Georgieva 6-3, 6-2.

The Dolphins return to action Friday against Hampton at 10 a.m. at the Brest Tennis Complex on the JU campus.
