Women's Tennis Rolls On in 6-1 Victory Over Temple

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Freshman Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary) remained unbeaten at No. 1 singles with a 2-6, 6-0, 10-6 victory over Danira Penic, while sophomore Veronika Subertova (Bratislava, Slovakia) won 6-3, 6-4 over Ana Maslesa at No. 2 singles as the Dolphins defeated Temple 6-1 in women's tennis Sunday afternoon at the Alexander Brest Tennis Complex. Sulyos and Subertova also combined for an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles to help JU capture the doubles point.

Other winners included Kim Packer (Adelaide, Australia) over Temple's Jackie Sy, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 singles, Nisrine Hajbane (Casablanca, Morocco) at No. 5 singles and Kristina Puck (Hamburg, Germany) at No. 6 singles. Hajbane and Packer also teamed up to win 8-1 at No. 3 doubles. The Dolphins dropped just two matches to the Owls and remain a perfect 11-0 in dual matches this season.
