Women's Tennis Winning Streak Snapped By Dartmouth, 4-3

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Freshman Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Germany) won at singles making her a perfect 17-0, but it wasn't enough as JU lost Dartmouth, 4-3,for its first loss of the season on Saturday afternoon at the Alexander Brest Tennis complex. JU (12-1) won only two singles matches and two doubles matches on the day.

Sulyos won at No. 1 singles in two sets over Jayme Ahmend, 6-0, 6-3. JU also picked a victory from sophomore Veronika Subertova (Bratislava, Slovakia) at No.2 singles in two sets over Cat Crandail, 6-3, 6-4. The Dolphins also won No. 1 and No.2 doubles with Sulyos and Subertova winning at No. 1, 8-3, over Lindsay Winningham and Ann Slott, 8-3. Kim Packer (Adelaibe, Austrila) and Martina Strussova (Hamburg, Germany) won at No. 2, 8-4, over Sarah McNally and Kerry Snow.

JU will play host Western Michigan on Sunday starting at 10:30 a.m.
