Women's Tennis Earns Number One Seed at Atlantic Sun Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The women's tennis team earned the number one seed in the Atlantic Sun Championship, as announced by the conference office Tuesday. The Dolphins finished 14-2 in the regular season with a 4-0 mark in conference.
Freshman Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary) led JU with a perfect 18-0 record at No. 1 singles, while Sulyos and sophomore Veronika Subertova (Bratislava, Slovakia) teamed up to post a 12-1 record at No. 1 doubles. Subertova posted a 15-3 record at No. 2 singles, while junior Nisrine Hajbane (Casablanca, Morocco) went 13-3 in No. 5 singles and 2-0 at No. 4 singles. Senior Kristina Puck (Hamburg, Germany) went 14-2 in singles play as well.
JU is set to face the winner of No. 8 Belmont and No. 9 Mercer on Thursday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m. The Atlantic Sun Championship is being held at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center in Macon, Ga. The championship match is set for Saturday, April 17 at noon.
