Emese Sulyos Named A-Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Emese Sulyos (Szolnok, Hungary) has earned Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week honors, the conference office announced Tuesday. It is the third time Sulyos has been named A-Sun Player of the Week.

The A-Sun's reigning Player of the Year, Sulyos is 3-0 this season and a perfect 21-0 at the No. 1 singles position in dual matches over her two-year career. She defeated Jelena Jovic of No. 61 Auburn, 6-4, 6-2, in her biggest win of the season. The Szolnok, Hungary native also downed Wofford's Ellen Rogers, 6-3, 6-2, while winning a 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 decision over Ciara Finucane of Georgia Southern. She now stands at 28-1 in her career at JU.

The Dolphins open A-Sun play this Thursday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. against Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton.
