Women's tennis falls at Florida State, 6-1

TALLAHASSEE, Fla - Senior Emese Sulyos won the No. 1 singles match, but it wasn't enough as they Jacksonville University women's tennis team fell to Florida State, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee, Fla.

Sulyos defeated top seeded Carolin Walter, 6-2, 6-3, to lead all Dolphin (0-1) hitters.

After Sulyos' victory, the Seminoles (1-0) would take five consecutive singles matches to secure the win.

Leading the charge for the Seminoles was No. 58 Lauren Macfarlane, who downed Lena Willi at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2 and helped pick up a win in doubles at the No. 1 seed.

The Dolphins look to bounce back on Sunday as they travel down the block in Tallahassee to face Florida A&M at 11 a.m.
