Women's tennis defeated Gardner-Webb 5-2

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Dolphins (13-3, 5-1 A-Sun) kept their winning streak alive at Gardner Webb on Tuesday after sweeping doubles and strong singles play.

Emese Sulyos defeated Laura Kriett at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-1 and Lena Willi downed Kasey Ellis 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Tatiana Soldatova added another point after defeating Jenny Gomez 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Iva Jaresova won against Monica Walser 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.

At No 1. doubles, Sulyos and Willi defeated Beavers and Kriett 8-2 and Jaresova and Soldatova knocked off Walser and Gomez 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. Carrero and Pavia-Flor completed the sweep after defeating Ellis and Pancia 8-6 at No. 3 Doubles.

The Jacksonville women's tennis team will look to win eleventh in a row on the road against East Tennessee State on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
