Women's Tennis remains in ITA Top 75

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU women's tennis team has had a phenomenal season this year and the accolades continue to follow them. This marks the second consecutive week where the Dolphins are ranked nationally in Intercollegiate Tennis Association's rankings. The Dolphins remain ranked at No. 70 this week heading into next week's Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament.

After finishing the regular season this year on a 13 match winning streak the women's tennis teamed earned its first Atlantic Sun regular season title and a No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. The Dolphins posted a record of 16-3 on the season and went 8-1 in conference play.

The Dolphins were lead all year by Senior Emese Sulyos and Junior Lena Willi. The two have combined for stellar 34-4 record in singles matches this season and in doubles put up a 12-2 record. They also dominated in conference play with a 17-1 record in singles play and a 7-1 record in doubles. The two stars were also honored this year each earning Atlantic Sun "Player of the Week" honors once. Senior Emese Sulyos won her fifth honor of her career in February and Junior Lena Willi won her second honor of her career in April.

The JU women's tennis team will be back on the court on Friday, April 20th in Johnson City, Tenn. looking to keep the great season going at the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament.
