Sophomore outside hitter Radka Dimitrova (Sofia, Bulgaria) tallied a match-high 15 kills, but it wasn't enough as the Dolphins lost their third straight match in a 3-0 decision to Campbell Friday evening in A-Sun conference action. The loss drops JU to 5-13 overall and evens its conference record to 3-3. Campbell snaps a four-match losing streak as it improves to 9-6 overall and 1-2 in the A-Sun.
Dimitrova's led the Dolphin offense with a .375 attack percentage for the match. JU was not able to hold off the Camel attack from Crystal Brim (13), Abby Jenkins (13), and Kara Lewis (14), who each amassed double-digit kill total, as the three combined for 40 of Campbell's 51 kills in the Camel first conference win of the season.
Senior setter Carrie Bosworth (Centreville, Mass.) recorded 36 assists and five kills for JU and junior outside hitter Alesha Rodriguez (Cleveland, Ohio) also added nine to go along with six digs in a losing effort.
The Dolphins return to the court on Tuesday, October 23, when they host Florida State in a non-conference match, at 7:30 p.m. at Swisher Gymnasium.
