Women's golf in fifth at the Hatter Fall Classic

DeLAND, Fla. - Senior Heather Fudge posted rounds of 74 and 79 to finish in a tie for fourth place to lead the JU women's golf team to fifth place after 36 holes at the Hatter Fall Classic.

The Dolphins shot 310 in the opening round and 318 in the afternoon to sit in fifth place at 628 in the nine-team event. Stetson leads the team event at 607.

Florida Atlantic's Praewnapa Phol-uayporn leads the individual competition at two-under par, 142, after carding rounds of 69 and 73.

Fudge trails the leader by 11 shots, sitting at nine-over par, with 18 holes remaining.

Joining Fudge in the top 20 is Jessica Green, who shot a 79 in the morning and a 78 in the afternoon to finish in a tie for 18th at 13-over par, 157.

Freshman Danielle Gibb bounced back from an 84 in the first round to fire a 77 in the second to finish in a tie for 28th at 161, 17-over par.

Therese Karlsson opened with a 79 but shot an 84 in the second round to tie for 34th at 163, 19-over par.

Jessica Williams opened with a 78 but struggled to an 86 in the afternoon to tie for 36th at 164, 20-over par.

The Dolphins wrap up their fall season on Tuesday in the final round.
