JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU freshman Jessica Williams improved each round at the prestigious Harder Hall Invitational this weekend, tying for 10th in the second flight.

A native of Sebring, Williams faced some of the top amateurs from across the country in the event. After opening the tournament with rounds of 86 and 87, she turned in rounds of 83 and 78 to finish with a 72-hole total of 334.

The 78 is the second best round Williams has posted this season, trailing only her career-best 77 in the second round of the Great Smokies Women's Collegiate.

Playing in three tournaments during the fall season, Williams finished the fall fourth on the team in stroke average at 80.43.

The JU women's team tees up its spring schedule on Feb. 11 at the Lady Braveheart Invitational in California.
