JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Alexandra Andersen posted the best round of the day for JU women's golf team, shooting a six-over par 78 as the Dolphins finished in fourth place at inaugural JU Invitational at Windsor Parke.

Belmont won the team title, posting a 309 in the final round to finish at 617 and defeated Daytona Beach Community College by eight shots.

Lorie Warren of Belmont had the only round under par of the event, carding a three-under par 69 to seal the individual title at three-under par, 141. She won the individual title by 14 shots over a four-way tie of Danielle Jackson (Stetson), Ashley Kozlowski (Stetson), Chelsea Harris (Austin Peay) and Melissa Magdor (Daytona Beach).

Danielle Gibb had the best finish for JU individually, tying for 12th at 160, 16-over par. She opened the round with a strong front nine, with only two bogeys. Her back nine got off to a bad start with a quadruple bogey on the 10th as she struggled to shoot nine-over on the back side to finish with an 83.

Therese Karlsson had a nine-over par 81 in the final round to finish the 36-hole event at 161 and tie for 14th. She had a steady round, with a bogey on the third, a double bogey on the sixth and a bogey on the seventh. Her back nine started well until going four-over par on holes 14, 15 and 16 to finish with an 81.

Andersen had the most impressive round of the day for the Dolphins. Her front nine was plagued by three bogeys and a double bogey, but offset by a birdie at the eighth to shoot four-over.

Her back nine was solid as well, with bogeys at the Nos. 10, 13 and 16, but finished with a flourish - a birdie on the 17th and great par save on the 18th to shoot six-over par.

Heather Fudge posted a nine-over par 81, with a three-over par back nine that was highlighted by a birdie on the 13th, to tie for 16th at 162.

Jessica Green equaled her opening round 84 in the final round to finish in 23rd at 168. Jessica Williams improved by seven shots with a 90 to finish in 28th at 187.

The Dolphins return to action on Monday at the Wofford Intercollegaite.

- Blistered: Freshman Danielle Gibb suffered some blister problems on her left hand, causing women's assistant coach Pamela Shelley to scurry back to the clubhouse for a glove, tape and a bottle of water (to keep her hydrated, not to put on the wound).

- Quote of the day:"I'm playing some scrappy golf." - freshman Danielle Gibb on the par-3 seventh tee after a roller-coaster start to her round.

- New head cover: Senior Heather Fudge sported a new head cover on her driver on Tuesday, sporting a new dolphin head cover. A gift from her father, Fudge used it en route to a 81 in the final round.

- Shot of the day: Junior Alexandra Andersen finished her round in style with a birdie-par finish, the birdie coming on a 24-foot putt that was a left-to-right breaker uphill. She posted a six-over par 78 to improve nine shots from her first round.
