Box Score

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Senior outside hitter Radka Dimitrova (Sofia, Bulgaria) recorded 17 kills, while sophomore middle blocker Danielle Neville (Greenwood, Colo.) tallied 10 kills as the Dolphins (4-10, 1-0) opened Atlantic Sun conference play with a 3-1 (30-20, 30-25, 20-30, 30-21) win over Campbell University (0-15, 0-1) Friday night in Carter Gym. Sophomore setter Erin Donivan (Sarasota, Fla.) earned a double-double with 44 assists and 15 digs, while freshman outside hitter Eva Stoilova (Sofia, Bulgaria) fell one kill shy of her own double-dip with 15 digs and nine kills in the match.

Dimitrova and Neville hit .517 and .500 respectively for the match, helping the Dolphins open the conference schedule in strong fashion. JU ran its streak of consecutive games won to eight after capturing the first two frames against the Lady Camels. Thanks to the strong play of Rachel Templin, Campbell battled back to win the third game, but JU recovered admirably in the fourth to close out the match. Jacksonville is now undefeated in its last three matches.

JU visits Gardner-Webb Saturday, Oct. 3 at 5:00 p.m. in second of three road matches this weekend.
