JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville volleyball team was picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference by the league's coaches in the preseason poll released Monday.

The Dolphins finished second in the league a year ago and are just a year removed from winning the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

JU returns four players that saw some time in the starting lineup last season, but lose three key players from the team that won the conference tournament in 2004.

"The preseason poll gives us a gauge of where people think we'll be at the end of the season," said JU head coach Shaun Kupferberg. "Our goal is to win the conference, so that means we've got some work to do for us to reach that goal."

Belmont and UNF tied for first in the poll as each team received five first-place votes. Belmont lost to FAU in the tournament championship game last year while JU split its two regular season matchups with its cross town rival.

Lipscomb was picked to finish third, followed by JU. ETSU was picked fifth, with Mercer taking sixth. Campbell, Stetson, Kennesaw State and Gardner-Webb wrap up the bottom of the poll.
