JU men’s tennis falls to ETSU, 6-1
The JU men’s tennis team could only find one win yesterday as the Dolphins fell on the road to ETSU, 6-1.

The Dolphins (4-5, 8-10) have already clinched a spot in the A-Sun tournament and will be seeded fifth with the possibility of facing any of the four teams ahead of them.

“We didn’t come away from this one the way we were hoping,” said JU head coach Shane Wood. “ETSU is a very good team and we’ll be interested to see who we’re going to face in the tournament.”

After dropping every match in the doubles point, JU found a win in the No. 1 position with Victor Vaz, fighting through three sets (7-6, 4-6, 10-7). The two sets won by Vaz were the only two of the day for the Dolphins.

JU will close out the regular season on Wednesday with a short trip south to face rival UNF.
