Sept. 14, 2007
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The women's soccer team lost in overtime 1-0 to College of Charleston in the Cougar Classic on Friday.
The game was scoreless until the 93rd minute when midfielder Danielle Jordan snatched the win for the Cougars.
"We were poor tonight and did not deserve any better result," said JU head coach Chris Kouns. "College of Charleston was all over us all night and we simply did not come to play. Congratulations to Kevin and his staff for a well played game and we hope the girls will bring more to the game on Sunday."
Freshman goalkeeper Lorna Brownlie was impressive for the Dolphins, making eight saves.
The Dolphins will be in action again on Sunday, taking on UNC Wilmington at noon.
