BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The JU women's soccer team feel to Gardner-Webb, 1-0, Saturday afternoon in Boiling Springs, N.C., halting their four game home winning streak.

Freshman goalkeeper Rebecca Stott made eight saves in the loss, but could not prevent senior Elicia Morris' 74th minute header from finding the net off of Sarah Keyser's corner kick.

"I give Kevin and his team all the credit tonight," said JU head coach Chris Kouns. "They knew they had to win tonight and they came to play. Unfortunately, we could not match them - which has happened on more than one occasion this season, when a team was in a must-win situation, and I take full responsibility for that.

"I am proud of the girls in the fact that even though we didn't play well, we created some good opportunities."

The Dolphins best chance came in the 77th minute after junior forward Keri Zwikker was fouled for a penalty kick by Bulldog's goalkeeper Sarah Wyszynski. Unfortunately, Zwikker's drive went just wide, ending any hope of a comeback.

The Dolphins will continue their A-Sun schedule on Friday, taking on Belmont at 7 p.m. at the Ashley Sports Complex.
