Women’s lacrosse to face Rollins in situational scrimmage this Saturday
The JU women’s lacrosse team will be looking to gain more experience with a situational scrimmage against Rollins this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. on the soccer practice field.

The Dolphins defeated Rollins, 13-12, in the UF Invitational last weekend. JU found itself tied, 10-10, with 9:14 remaining in the second half and scored three straight goals to put the game away. Sophomore Sara Michel scored twice during the spell with freshman Alicia Esteban adding the third goal.

JU dominated draw controls throughout the game, doubling up the Tars, 18-9. Goalkeepers Tara Brock and Karli Tobin combined for nine saves in an entertaining game.

“We’re happy to get back on the field again,” said head coach Mindy McCord. “The biggest advantage that we’re going to find this weekend is the ability to work on specific aspects of the game. We’re going to be able to really focus on running plays and setting our defense.”

Play will start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and is expected to last until noon.
