JU women’s lacrosse to face UMBC in program opener this Saturday
The wait is finally over! Lacrosse has arrived at JU and team is ready to take the field.

The women’s lacrosse team will open up the Dolphins’ lacrosse account on Saturday at noon at D.B. Milne Field. The game will also be streamed live on A-Sun.TV.

Be sure to get to the game early as the first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative game program and a commemorative ball.

“We’re just so excited that the game is finally here,” said JU head coach Mindy McCord. “We’ve been waiting for so long to get this program underway and now it’s time. There’s going to be a great crowd out there on Saturday to welcome lacrosse to Florida.”

The Dolphins are just one of two women’s lacrosse programs in the state of Florida. The University of Florida will also start its program this season, opening up the season against the Dolphins in Gainesville.

The women’s draw will start at noon and the men will follow at 2:30 p.m.
