Cassie Campasano earns NLC "Player of the Week" accolades
The JU women’s lacrosse team received its first “Player of the Week” nod from the National Lacrosse Conference thanks to the play of freshman attacker Cassie Campasano this week.

In a pair of games this week, Campasano netted seven goals and tallied two assists as the Dolphins posted a record of 1-1.

“Cassie has really been a dominating attacker for us so far this year,” said JU head coach Mindy McCord. “She has a great ability to be in the right place at the right time and is a great team player.”

Against Boston College, Campasano scored one goal in a losing effort but came back to lead Jacksonville with seven points on five goals and two assists during a 14-12 win over St. Bonaventure, the school’s first home victory.

The Dolphins are back on the field tomorrow when they take on Vermont at 4 p.m. at the Ashley Sports Complex.
