Garza, who was the ALCS Most Valuable Player in 2008, was recruited and coached by Montez at Fresno State before being selected in the first round (25th pick overall) of MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins.
Lee, who won the American League CY Young Award in 2008, was recruited and coached by Montez at Arkansas before being picked in the fourth round of the draft by the Montreal Expos.
