Men's lacrosse looks to cure road blues at Robert Morris tomorrow
The JU men’s lacrosse team will head north tomorrow to face Robert Morris at 1 p.m. in Moon Township, Pa.

The Dolphins (4-4) will look for their first road win of the year after falling to Bucknell, 17-8, in their last trip.

“We had a tough game last week against a very strong team in Bucknell,” said JU head coach Matt Kerwick. “We’re looking for a strong 60 minutes tomorrow and it would be great to come home with our first road win.”

Against Bucknell, the Dolphins gave up the game’s first seven goals, spanning through the first 18 minutes, pulled back within four goals, but could never get any closer.

The Dolphins were led by freshman attackman TJ Kenary with four goals and one assist while sophomore midfielder Jeremy Tissenbaum scored twice for JU. Senior goalie Brad Hester played all 60 minutes and made 15 saves.

The Colonials (5-2) fell to Bellarmine after leading after the first three quarters. An 8-1 run by Bellarmine in the fourth quarter sent the Knights past Robert Morris, 18-15, a fate familiar to the Dolphins.

Junior Trevor Moore led the Colonials with four goals and one assist, while sophomore Kiel Matisz added three goals and three assists and junior Corbyn Tao-Brambleby finished the contest with three goals and two helpers.
