JU men’s lacrosse heads north to face No. 7 Duke
The JU men’s lacrosse team will look to make it an Easter Sunday to remember when they face No. 7 Duke tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.

The Dolphins (4-5) are still in search of their first road win of the year and will look to avoid a slow start against the Blue Devils (8-3, 0-2 ACC).

“This is an awesome challenge for our young team to face one of the top programs in the country,” said JU head coach Matt Kerwick. “We’re eager to take the field up in Durham to play against the Blue Devils.”

In their last outing, the Dolphins dropped an 18-17 thriller against Robert Morris. JU drew within one goal with 2:25 remaining in the game thanks to a four-goal run but the final score never came.

JU was led with impressive performances from Nick Scalzo (5,1) and Ryan Serville (3,4) as ten Dolphins recorded at least a point. Senior goalie Brad Hester made ten saves on the day.

The Blue Devils are coming off a 14-5 win over Harvard, playing yesterday up in Cambridge, Mass. Duke faced the Crimson in front of a record-setting crowd of 13,285.

Zach Howell finished with three goals and three assists for six points, while Max Quinzani registered five tallies. The Blue Devils pushed their win streak to six games after starting the year 2-3. Duke has scored 11-plus goals in each of the past four games after scoring double digits in just three prior games.
