Dolphins get first full day in pads
After enjoying cooler conditions during the first two days of preseason camp, the JU football team was welcomed to the practice field by heat wave on Sunday.

Going for just over two hours, the Dolphins were working while the heat index rose to 118 at the start of practice. The heat tested the conditioning of everyone and was good preparation for the five home games that will all kickoff at Noon this season.

“It was really hot out there today, but the guys stayed focused and we made progress,” said JU head coach Kerwin Bell. “Our training staff does a good job of keeping an eye on the guys and making sure they stay as hydrated as possible, which is really important on days like today.”
