JU faces Samford on Wednesday
For Ayron Hardy and Travis Cohn, the Thanksgiving holiday will be a return home to play basketball.

The senior duo will open their two-game road trip in Alabama against Samford on Wednesday at 8 p.m. (EST), followed by a matchup against Auburn on Saturday at 8 p.m. (EST).

Hardy, a native of Birmingham, is off to the best start of his career. He’s scored in double figures in all three games, putting up a complete stat line the last two games – including six assists and six steals his last time out against Florida Tech.

Cohn, a native of Decatur, is returning to form after being hampered by an injury early in the season. He scored 12 points off the bench in 17 minutes against Florida Tech.

The seniors look to keep the Dolphins on their winning ways as JU has is off to its best start since the 2008-09 season.

“We’re continuing to get better each day,” said JU head coach Cliff Warren. “We need to be ready to face a Samford team that is well coached and playing with a lot of confidence after winning the Auburn tournament last week.”

Jacksonville’s two straight wins has the Dolphins above .500 this early for the first time in three seasons. JU had started its last two seasons 0-5 before rebounding to win the Atlantic Sun Conference title each year.
