Women's tennis sweeps Lipscomb, 7-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU women's tennis improved to 2-0 in Atlantic Sun Conference play on Saturday as they swept Lipscomb, 7-0.

The Dolphins have opened league play by winning all 14 points in their first two league matches.

"We came out focused and took care of business," said JU head coach Shane Wood. "We're making progress each time out and everyone is working hard at improving."

In the six singles matches, the Dolphins didn't drop a set, with six of those sets being 6-0 wins for JU. Iva Jaresova and Lena Willie had the most impressive wins for JU - Jaresova knocking off Caitlin Khouri in the No. 5 match, 6-0, 6-0 while Willi had a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 2 match over Kara Jackson.

The Dolphins wrap up their weekend on Sunday at home against Davidson.
