JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU women's indoor track and field team opens its season on the road this weekend, traveling to Clemson, S.C. to compete in the Clemson Invitational.

The back-to-back Atlantic Sun champions feature a young squad in 2008, but return junior Natasha Harvey who earned NCAA All America honors in 2007 in the long jump. Harvey will be competing in the 60-meter hurdles, the 60-meter dash and the long jump.

"For almost half of the team, this will be their first collegiate competition," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "It will be our first indication on where we stand from a fitness and technical stand point. It will be good to see how the freshman newcomers respond to the Division I level of collegiate competition."

Along with Harvey, the Dolphins will be featuring their other jumper, junior Shaquania Lundy, along with their middle distance runners, throwers and freshman sprinters.

The Clemson Invitational features over 20 teams and will be a team scoring format.
