Indoor track and field compete in first day of Clemson Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - The JU women's indoor track and field team opened their season on Friday, competing in the Clemson Invitational in Clemson, S.C.

Junior's Natasha Harvey and Simone Clark both qualified for the final in the 60-meter hurdles while newcomer Elsabeth Goshu took fourth in the 5000-meter run in her first meet as a Dolphin after transferring from Western State College.

"It is a good learning experience," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "We will look to improve on our results tomorrow."

The Dolphins begin the second day of the Clemson Invitational tomorrow at 11 p.m. with junior Shaquania Lundy and freshman Ashley Lave competing in the triple jump and the pole vault respectively.
