UPDATE: JU athletics announces inaugural Dolphin Day on Aug. 28
Come celebrate the start of the 2010-11 season with JU athletics on Saturday as they host the inaugural Dolphin Day at the football practice fields on the north side of campus.

The day starts at 10 a.m. with the JU football team’s final scrimmage on the practice field. Fans can meet the team following practice and get autographs throughout the morning from several other JU athletic squads on hand. There will also be opportunities for fans to buy football season tickets as well.

Fans can try their hand at interactive games on the soccer practice field with a corner kick and a 40-yard dash. There will also be a table for Alex's Lemonade Stand to take donations for Childhood Cancer research and Survivors. The Dolphins official radio station, 1010XL, will be at the field as well from 10 a.m. until noon.

"Dolphin Day is a great way for the Jacksonville community to experience JU athletics,” said JU marketing and special projects coordinator Brian Freshley. “This gives JU fans, both young and old, a chance to interact with the Dolphins and to show their support. The youth and families of Jacksonville are very important to us and we want to start the year off by giving them a fun, family friendly experience."
