THE LIFE OF A RUNNING DOLPHIN: No pain, no gain..
The soreness has taken place, a true sign that the mile session on Wednesday did its job. The athletic trainers are doing a great job of keeping the cold whirlpool running so we can get in our not so enjoyable 10-15 minutes of teeth clapping numbness.
Tuesday morning consisted of being covered in sand at the volleyball courts after rolling around alongside the basketball women, as well as focusing on the big event of the week. Friday (tomorrow) at 6 p.m. I need all JU supporters available to come down to the golf course between the baseball field and the river and watch our fine women and men putting in some solid effort.
For those of you who are lucky enough to live in apartments 2, 3 or 4, you may simply step outside on the back side of the building and cheer from your balcony (no throwing of objects please).
For the rest of you, the baseball entrance is a good spot to start. This is the only time you can see the cross country teams putting the uniform on our home turf, so use this opportunity and give our runners a great start to the season. It is also a good chance to warm up your voice before the men's soccer game at 7 p.m. In addition, you may continue your cheering and come watch four of us doing 1k reps on Saturday morning at 7am (or you can just stay in bed and regret you’re not a runner).
I hope to see many faces out there, and thank you in advance for your support!
