This Week in JU Athletics (Sept. 6-12)
The men’s soccer team will kick a busy week off tonight against Georgia Southern at home. Take a look to see what else is in store for the Dolphins during the week.

This Week in JU Athletics is a weekly feature to give fans the top five items of the week and a full list of all the athletic events so they can cheer the Dolphins on to victory.


Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" - Kristen Boettcher: Senior Kristen Boettcher earns Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" honors after finishing third in the Labor Day Shootout at The PLAYERS Stadium Course at the TPC at Sawgrass. She opened the tournament with a two-over par 74 before finishing six-over par to take third place.
Football looks to take second road victory -The JU football team will return to the road this week to face No. 3 Appalachian State on Saturday in Boone, N.C. at 3:30 p.m. The Dolphins are coming off a thrilling 35-25 win against Old Dominion in the season opener on Sept. 4. JU fell to t Appalachian State in the Dolphins’ first meeting in 2008.
Women’s Soccer hosts tough homestand -The JU women’s soccer team will need to use the momentum from its 3-0 win over Winthrop for this week’s games. The Dolphins will host USF on Friday night at 7 p.m. before wrapping the week against Francis Marion on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both contests can be seen on A-Sun.TV.

Volleyball stays in preseason tournament play - The JU volleyball team will stay in the state of Florida for the next two weeks to round out preseason tournament play. The Dolphins are in Orlando starting on Friday to play Baylor (11 a.m.) and former conference foe Florida Atlantic (5:30 p.m.). They round out the week against the host Knights on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
