Chris Mulstay added to women’s rowing coaching staff
Chris Mulstay, a former assistant coach at Stetson, has been named assistant coach for the JU women’s rowing program.
Mulstay, who brings his experience of 12 years of competitive rowing and six years of competitive coaching, will be in charge of developing and training the novice women’s program and will also assist head coach Kris Muhl with the varsity.
“I'm very excited to have Chris on staff,” said Muhl. “His background, experience and passion for rowing are just what the program needs to continue to grow. I'm looking forward to seeing where he takes the novice program this year but also welcome having another set of eyes in the launch during varsity practices.”
Prior to JU, Mulstay worked as the novice/assistant varsity coach at Stetson where he helped the Hatters to some of their most successful seasons, including their first medals at the Dad Vail Regatta and gold medals at FIRA and SIRA.
Mulstay began his coaching career as the varsity men’s coach for Great Bay Rowing Club in New Hampshire from 2004-09.
A four-year rower at New Hampshire, he graduated from UNH with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in business administration in 2004.
