Baseball set to play Green & Gold Fall World Series this week
For those who can’t wait for the start of baseball season, take advantage of the opportunity to see the 2011 JU baseball team beginning on Wednesday at 6 p.m. as the Dolphins play their 22nd annual Green & Gold Fall World Series at John Sessions Stadium.

After a draft conducted by team coaches, the split-squad exhibition will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. Game two of the series will be on Friday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. and the final game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 6, at 4 p.m. Regardless of the outcome of the series, which features free admission, each contest will be played.

Senior catcher Alex Swenson and redshirt-junior pitcher Sean Green will lead the Green squad while senior outfielder Chris Connelly and redshirt-junior pitcher Steve Eagerton direct the Gold team.

“After a good fall, we are excited to be able to take a step back as coaches and watch our team compete from the stands,” said JU head coach Terry Alexander. “Getting a chance to see our news guys compete in a game situation while also seeing our returning players run the game is something we are looking forward to.”
