New SAAC officers announced for 2011 academic year
The JU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) announced its new slate of officers for the New Year as the 2010 fall semester came to a close.

In a vote among SAAC members during final exams in the fall, Jessica Hotchkiss (women’s lacrosse) was named president after serving as vice president last year, Esteban Mendez (men’s cross country) was selected as vice president, Adam Maxon (baseball) was chosen as secretary and Katelyn Thompson (women’s lacrosse) was named treasurer.

“I am extremely pleased and excited about our newly elected SAAC officers,” said director of student-athlete services Chris Johnson. “All of them are exceedingly dedicated on the field and in the classroom and are truly passionate about making JU a great place to be. Our SAAC has always been well represented both here at JU and around the conference, these new officers will only continue to build upon that tradition.”

The group will replace last year’s group of president Reba Stott (women’s soccer), vice president Ashley August (volleyball) and secretary Andrew Lerner (men’s tennis).
